Mary, did you know?

Queer people love Christmas, and Hollywood has finally caught on. This year, we’re getting more holiday films featuring LGBTQ characters, storylines, or themes than ever before.

Find seven of our picks below, including highly anticipated new titles from Hulu, Netflix, Paramount Network, and more. It’s the most wonderful time of the year!

Holiday Home Makeover with Mr. Christmas

Benjamin Bradley—aka Mr. Christmas—is ho-ho-hobsessed with the holidays, and he’s here to spread Christmas cheer in the new Netflix makeover series. Think of it like A Very Queer Eye Christmas. Bradley’s Christmas craziness has been documented before, particularly in the New York Times, where he explained the genesis of his obsession and gave readers a peek into his home he shares with his partner, Bruce. Keeping the yuletides… well, you know.

Premieres November 19 on Netflix

Christmas on the Square

A Dolly Parton holiday musical starring Christine Baranski? We’re listening! While there aren’t any queer storylines in the movie, it does star multiple gay icons and feature some fierce vogueing. Need we say more?

Premieres November 22 on Netflix

The Christmas House

Hallmark’s first original holiday movie to feature a same-sex couple stars Robert Buckley, Jonathan Bennett, Ana Ayora, Treat Williams, Sharon Lawrence, and Brad Harder. While the movie doesn’t center around a same-sex romance, it does feature Bennett and Harder as husbands who are anxiously awaiting a call about the adoption of their first child.

Premieres November 22 on Hallmark Channel

Happiest Season

Happiest Season follows Abby (Kristen Stewart) and Harper (Mackenzie Davis), a lesbian couple who are happily in love. Abby goes home with Harper for the holidays and gets the surprise of a lifetime when she learns girlfriend isn’t out to her family. The rom-com’s star-studded cast includes Dan Levy, Aubrey Plaza, and Alison Brie. It’s directed by Clea DuVall, who also co-wrote the screenplay.

Premieres November 25 on Hulu

12 Dates of Christmas follows three hopelessly romantic singles—Faith, Chad, and Garrett—on “their journey to meet that special someone to bring home for the holidays.” Garrett is a gay New York-based real estate developer searching for a man to kiss under the mistletoe. The eight-episode series will drop three episodes on Thanksgiving, three more episodes on December 3, and the final two episodes on December 10.

First three episodes out November 26 on HBO Max

The Christmas Setup

This movie tells the story of Hugo and Patrick, two former high school friends who fall for each other when Hugo returns to his hometown, Milwaukee. Real-life married couple Ben Lewis (ArrowScott Pilgrim vs. the World) and Blake Lee (Parks and RecreationMixology) star in the network’s first LGBTQ holiday movie. Did we mention it also features Fran Drescher?

Premieres December 12 on Lifetime

Dashing in December

After finding success with Yellowstone, Paramount Network returns to the ranch—this time to tell a gay love story. Dashing in December is the network’s new original holiday movie, and it follows Wyatt (Peter Porte), who returns to his hometown to celebrate the holidays with his mother (Andie McDowell) on the family ranch. While home, he meets Heath (Juan Pablo Di Pace), another gay man, under the mistletoe.

“This feel-good project captures the importance of inclusive storytelling, the power of love and the spirit of the holidays all rolled into one,” said Meghan Hooper, EVP and Paramount’s head of original movies and limited series, in a statement.

Premieres December 13 on the Paramount Network with simulcasts on Logo, PopTV, and TV Land
